The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered Tuesday, Nov. 3, in memory of UNO retiree Sharon Sobel
Sharon passed away on Oct. 12, 2020 and was 61 at the time of her passing.
Joining UNO in 1994, Sharon worked as a professor and also as chair of the UNO Theatre Department, retiring in 2015. Additionally, during her nearly 20 years at UNO Sharon served as lead costume designer on countless UNO Theatre productions, as well as productions for many theater companies both locally and in locations across the country.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Sharon's loved ones during this difficult time.
