Flag Lowering for Eldon LaVerne Haselwood
The UNO flag will be lowered today in memory of Haselwood, who passed away on Dec. 1, 2020, at the age of 87.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in memory of retiree Eldon LaVerne (Verne) Haselwood.
Verne passed away on Dec. 1, 2020, and was 87 at the time of his death.
While at UNO, Verne served as a professor in the Department of Teacher Education until his retirement in 1999. Following retirement, Verne continued as a lecturer in the department.
Verne is survived by his wife, Joan.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Verne's loved ones during this time.
