On Thursday, Feb. 4, the Office of Academic Affairs sent a notice to all AAUP faculty with updates to the following policies:
Additional Tenure Clock Extension Year
In light of the continued impacts of the pandemic through the 2020/21 academic year, President Carter and each of the Chancellors have granted an additional year to the tenure clock stoppage that was originally initiated in March 2020. For details, please see the following memo.
Maternity Leave Clarification
Through discussions with the UNO AAUP, and in support of faculty expecting the delivery of a child, some clarifications have been made to the university's maternity leave policy as it relates to benefits-eligible faculty that should expedite your ability to access this benefit. For details, please see the following memo.
Faculty with questions on these individual memos may reach out to our Academic Human Resources Office, Vanessa Warren vwarren@unomaha.edu.
