Omaha Set to Host Summit League Tournament, Earns No. 3 Seed
The Mavericks are set to host the 2020-21 Summit League women's soccer tournament at Caniglia Field; April 15 and 17.

From OMavs.com: The Mavericks are set to host the 2020-21 Summit League women's soccer tournament at Caniglia Field next week on Thursday, April 15 and Saturday, April 17. The field is No. 1 Denver, No. 2 South Dakota State, No. 3 Omaha, No. 4 South Dakota, the league announced Sunday evening.
Two semifinal matches will take place on Thursday, April 15. The first match will kick-off at 2 P.M. between No. 1 Denver vs. No. 4 South Dakota. The second semifinal will kick-off at 5 P.M. between No. 2 South Dakota State and No. 3 Omaha.
Denver enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed finishing the regular season 14-2-1 (14-1-1). The Pioneers are currently on a six-game winning streak heading into the tournament after sweeping conference series with North Dakota, Omaha, and Kansas City. Natalie Beckman leads Denver with 10 goals and 11 assists this year.
South Dakota State finished the regular season undefeated with a 12-0-4 (12-0-4) record to capture the No. 2 seed. The Jackrabbits played to two overtime draws with Omaha, one with Denver, and one with South Dakota. SDSU won its last six with sweeps vs. North Dakota State, North Dakota, and Western Illinois. Maya Hansen and Kayla Wisniewski each have seven goals and two assists on the year to lead SDSU.
Omaha enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed after posting an 8-4-4 (8-4-4) record this year. The Mavericks closed the season with a 1-0 shutout vs. Western Illinois for their ninth shutout this season. Freshman forward Sophia Green leads the way with six goals, while Andrea Daves and Hannah Heinemann add five each. Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen holds a .57 GAA in goal for Omaha.
Rounding out the field is No. 4 South Dakota. The Coyotes finished the season 9-6-1 (9-6-1) and clinched the final spot in the tournament with a sweep over North Dakota to wrap up the regular season. The Coyotes have won their last six and posted four straight shutouts. Alexis Mitchell leads USD with seven goals and four assists on the year. Shaylee Gailus adds six goals and three assists.

Admission to Caniglia Field for the Summit League Tournament is free for all fans.
For the safety of our guests, participants, coaches and staff, Omaha Athletics asks that you please maintain social distancing and wear a facial covering at all time, unless eating or drinking, while inside Caniglia Field.
Seats will be marked to ensure proper social distancing.
Free parking will be available in the East Parking Garage for all three matches.

Fans will also be allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverage items in to Caniglia Field. In addition, Lawlor's Custom Sportswear will be on-site selling merchandise for the duration of the event.
