Omaha Swimming and Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

From OMavs.com - The Omaha swimming & diving team was named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America list for the Spring 2021 semester, the association announced Tuesday afternoon.
The 30 team members posted a 3.64 cumulative GPA in the classroom. This marks the fourth straight semester the Mavericks have posted a 3.5 GPA or higher.
"I'm very honored to be the coach of this team," said head coach Todd Samland. "They have very high expectations of themselves. They have created great habits and to the work."
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.
"Our athletic academic coordinator, Kale, does an incredible job of providing resources and tutors for our team," added Samland. "The drive and support is there to create a successful environment."
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
