About the Workshops
The UNO STEM Trail Center and Service Learning Academy are offering a series of writing workshops for faculty members to develop manuscripts and/orpresentations from service-learning activities (teaching or research). These workshops will equip participants with a writing community, dedicated time, and support toshowcase service-learning and community engagement activities to wider audiences (both local and international). Participants will receive incentives such as professional development dollars, opportunities to publish in special issues of open access journals, publication costs will be covered by UNO.
When and where:
December 2021 – February 2022 at UNO. Specific dates and a location will be announced soon.
Who should attend:
UNO faculty whose teaching and research activity involves service-learning and/or community engagement.
Workshop Learning Outcomes:

Equip participants with the requisite knowledge of translating information from their service-learning teaching or research to wider audiences.

Participants build collaborative, scholarly relationships.

Participants develop a presentation or manuscript that can be submitted to a journal or conference about their engaged teaching/research.

These workshops are absolutely free—professional development stipends available with a completed submission.
