The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is nationally recognized for its commitment to community engagement and celebrates the dedication and spirit of service demonstrated by students who have participated in the AmeriCorps program. In recognition of the commitment shown by AmeriCorps volunteers, UNO is proud to offer students a scholarship opportunity that can be used in conjunction with the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.
In addition to the general benefits offered to all AmeriCorps volunteers, UNO offers up to ten $1,500 graduate scholarships annually to AmeriCorps alumni as a matching benefit when utilizing their Segal AmeriCorps Education award. Along with UNO scholarships, all AmeriCorps students will receive in-state tuition. These are one-time awards for graduate study.
Graduate students who want to be considered must meet all the eligibility requirements. Graduate students must be admitted to a graduate degree or graduate certificate program at UNO for Fall of 2022, self-identify in the application process as an AmeriCorps Alumni, upload evidence of AmeriCorps service, and be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credit hours.
