Chris Elston, Data Specialist in Human Resources, has been named UNO’s Employee of the Month for December 2022.
Elston was nominated because of his commitment to helping his peers, along with his vast knowledge of the wide variety of forms and paperwork that are used each day across the campus. He was surprised by the Celebration Committee on Thursday, December 15th in celebration of this recognition.
“The sheer volume of paperwork that he touches daily to keep UNO running smoothly is a testament to his dedication and work performance,” his nominators noted. “Chris has always been willing to assist with navigating a difficult and often changing system.”
In addition to his willingness to help and wealth of knowledge, he is quick to respond and patient in answering questions.
“[Chris] is appreciated by all of us, and more than you know. Thank you so much for your years of commitment and hard work, and for always supporting us in such a friendly, collegial manner in our collective effort to ensure everyone on this campus is properly and correctly paid.”
For being named as Employee of the Month, Elston will receive a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the UNO Bookstore, a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
Congratulations, Chris!
