Flag Lowering for Charles "C.J." Brown

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Thursday, May 18, in memory of Charles "C.J." Brown, who recently passed away at the age of 81.

C.J. started his career at UNO on April 25, 1994, and retired from his role as a grounds supervisor on May 1, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; four children, Teola Campbell, Scott (Sheryl) Brown, Renne Wilcox, and Rhonda Briggs; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on May 2 at the John A. Gentleman Chapel (72nd St.).

The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with C.J.'s loved ones during this time.
