Omaha Mavericks Recognized for Outstanding Community Service

From OMAVS.com – Four Omaha Athletics teams earned recognition for going above and beyond in their community service efforts.
Men's Soccer, Men's Tennis and Track & Field/Cross Country were each recognized by Helper Helper, a community service tracking app, for being in the top 10 of their respective sports across the 92 Division 1 schools that use the app. The rankings are determined by an impact score, which considers volunteer hours per student-athlete and percent participation.
Combined, these teams dedicated almost 1,000 hours of service to the community.
#4 Men's Soccer
Men's Soccer placed fourth in the Men's Soccer category. The team volunteered a total of 342 hours and saw 100% participation.
#5 Men's Tennis
Men's Tennis placed fifth in the Men's Tennis category. Volunteer hours totaled 108 and 100% of the team participated in the efforts.
#7 Track and Field/Cross Country
Omaha Track and Field and Cross Country combined placed seventh in the Women's Track and Field/Cross Country category. Cross Country volunteered a total of 271 hours with 100% participation. Track and Field volunteered a total of 273 hours with 100% participation.
