The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Monday, July 10, in memory of Judith "Judy" Milner, who recently passed away at the age of 82.
Judy started her career at UNO on Oct. 19, 1983, and retired from her role as an office associate on Jan. 7, 2011.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Milner and Maggie Milner, both of Council Bluffs; sons: Michael Milner of Las Vegas, Nevada; Mark (Debbie) Milner of Council Bluffs; Dan (Tammy) Milner of Key West, Florida; Chuck Milner of Lee's Summit, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Ward in California, John (Erin) Ward, Jeff (Allegra) Ward, all in Tennessee; sister, Sr. Mary Jean Ward, RSM of Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation, memorial mass, and inurnment were held at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Judy's loved ones during this time.
