UNO Names Marshall Kole Employee of the Month, July 2023

Kole was recognized by his colleagues after demonstrating continued dedication to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for housing residents.

Marshall Kole, the associate director of residence life, has been named the UNO Employee of the Month for July 2023. Kole was recognized by his colleagues after demonstrating continued dedication to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for housing residents.

“Marshall is very personable and strives to create an environment where people are free to share their thoughts and opinions to make the residence halls a better place,” his nominator wrote. “He works extremely hard to take care of the residents within the UNO residence halls."

His colleagues said that he has an exceptional talent for providing his residents with resources that aid in their quality of life on campus.

“He also works closely with maintenance and campus security to ensure that the residence halls are safe. In addition, Marshall regularly meets with residents to ensure they are enjoying their experiences in the residence halls.”

Kole is also known for his can-do attitude. “He is very adaptable to any situation that may occur within the residence halls. He works with his staff to find the best solution to any problem.”

For being named as Employee of the Month, Kole will receive a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the UNO Bookstore, a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
