Flag Lowering for Carmen del Llano Mattes

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Oct. 3, in memory of Carmen del Llano Mattes, who recently passed away at the age of 84.

Carmen started her career at UNO on Aug. 30, 1976, in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and retired on Aug. 2, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer.

A memorial service will be held on Oct. 4 at the Aksarben Village Senior Living Community (1330 South 70th St.) at 4 P.M.

The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with her loved ones during this time.
