Elections were held in June and the new executive officers will start their two-year term this month.

The Academic Advising Council (AAC) is thrilled to announce the new 2024-2026 AAC Executive Officers. Elections were held in June and the new executive officers will start their two-year term this month. The new team will be joined by Heather Ford (Gerontology) who has been serving as the current secretary and president-elect. Ford will be taking over as president in the 2024-2026 AAC term cycle.

About the Academic Advising Council (AAC)
The UNO Academic Advising Council is a supportive community dedicated to sharing best practices, creating opportunities, communicating across colleges, and improving professional development for advisors at UNO. The group, launched in 2011, supports and advocates for UNO’s advisors and for students, exploring the tools and technologies needed to navigate a changing educational environment. AAC Executive Officers are elected every two years to lead and support AAC meetings, programming and initiatives.
The Council welcomes not just advisors to its monthly meetings, but also many other professionals on campus who support UNO students. Monthly forums keep advisors up to date on topics ranging from best practices in advising to technology and program updates. The Academic Advising Council meets the third Thursday of each month at 1:30 P.M. Meetings are open to the public.
