Friend Walk
Users can send their location in real-time to a friend so they can watch as they walk to a destination. As friends watch, they can trigger a call to emergency services if necessary. Here's how the safety feature works:
- Open the app and select "Friend Walk."
- At the bottom of the mobile webpage, select "Start Friend Walk" and pick a contact to send the user's location.
- The contact will receive the message with a link. When they click it, they'll be taken to a map with the user's location, and the user will be connected to them. To cancel a request, simply return to the main menu.
- Pick a destination and start moving.
- If in a panic situation, hit the button to notify the friend and start an emergency call.
- If the user or their contact disconnects, it will end the walk and offer the option to make an emergency call Oust in case).
- When the user reaches the destination, finish the trip, and disconnect.
