From OMAVS.com — #15 Omaha Men's Basketball's first-ever matchup in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship is set as the Mavericks (22-12, 13-3 Summit) will take-on BIG EAST Conference regular season and tournament champion #2 St. John's (30-4, 18-2 BIG EAST). Omaha's March Madness debut will come on Thursday, March 20 in Providence, R.I. at the Amica Mutual Pavilion as part of the West region.
The Mavericks are 1-1 against current BIG EAST members in regular season play (Division I era).

Thursday's game will air on the CBS Television Network (KMTV in Omaha) at 8:45 P.M. CT / 9:45 P.M. ET.
On the other side of the pod are #7 Kansas and #10 Oklahoma, the winner of which the Mavericks or Red Storm would face on Saturday, March 22 in the second round of the tournament.
Maverick Send-Off
Cheer on the Mavericks and give them a champion’s farewell as they head to the Big Dance! The Maverick Send-Off will be Tuesday, March 18, at Baxter Arena. The exact time of the send-off is to be determined. This page will be updated with more information once it is available.
