Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., Chancellor of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), answers the question: “What are colleges and universities doing to protect students, staff, and faculty from COVID-19?”
About Gold
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gold has been a trusted source for analysis for local, state, and national news organizations. He also and answers public health COVID-19 related question’s for RFD-TV’s nationally televised call-in show Rural Health Matters.
A nationally recognized leader and tireless advocate for transforming higher education, academic medicine and health care delivery, Gold has served as UNMC’S chancellor since 2014 and as UNO’s chancellor since 2017.
Gold’s extensive leadership contributions include more than 50 national professional committees and more than 100 national organizations, volunteer boards, government/public health councils, and industry. He has recently served as the Chair of the American Medical Association’s Council on Medical Education and the AMA/AAMC’s Liaison Committee on Medical Education.
