Omaha Community Playhouse (.8 Miles)
OCP is the nation’s largest community theatre that often hosts enchanting shows and plays that breathe life to the Omaha community.
Aksarben Village (1 Miles)
At the heart of Omaha awaits Aksarben Village, a scenic place filled with premier entertainment, bustling fashion boutiques, unique restaurants, and green spaces. You can also take a trip down to the village to catch the latest movie at Aksarben Cinema or pick up your next meal at the Omaha Farmer's Market.
Historic Benson (2 Miles)
Just a quick drive north of campus will place you in one of Omaha's most historic neighborhoods and thriving arts and entertainment scenes. Annexed by the City of Omaha back in 1917, Benson was a central business district for the city and even featured its own amusement park! Today, the Benson strip on Maple Street is lined with music venues, great food, co-op artist spaces, and fun for the whole family.
Spielbound Board Game Cafe (2.7 Miles)
Spielbound is a magical café with a library of 2500+ board games that you can play while you enjoy an energizing expresso or a savory slice of pizza.
Dewey Dog Park (3 Miles)
Dewey Dog Park is a newly opened off-leash park located in the middle of Midtown Crossing and Leavenworth. Open year-round, the park has an agility course, running water, a self-cleaning synthetic turf, and plenty of places to sit and relax while your pooch has fun.

Joslyn Art Museum (3.2 Miles)
The Joslyn Art Museum is the primary museum of fine arts in Nebraska. It was opened in 1931 by Sarah H. Joslyn in memory of her husband, businessman, George A. Joslyn. Featuring hundreds of peices of artwork from across timeperiods, countries, and infulences - it is a true Omaha treasure. (Currently Closed For Renovations)
The Old Market (4.2 Miles)
The Old Market is the most historic neighborhood of Omaha that still survives and thrives to this day. Entertaining venues, contemporary galleries, cute cobblestone streets, and a premier shopping location.
The Slowdown (4.5 Miles)
A world-class music venue located in the heart of NoDo (North Downtown), Slowdown is a go-to venue for all things music, comedy, education, and more. Be sure to check out thier schedule of evetns.
Papio Fun Park (4.5 Miles)
Winner of Omaha Magazine’s Best of Omaha 2018, Papio Fun Park is well-known for its wealth of activities. From Go-Karts to Miniature Golf to Laser Tag you’ll be sure to have a blast no matter what.
El Museo Latino (5.9 Miles)
El Museo Latino is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Omaha dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting Latino arts of the Americas. As the first Latino art and history museum and cultural center in the Midwest, guests can see local, national and international Latino art as well as partake in year-round with workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and classes
Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium (6.2 Miles)
The Henry Doorly Zoo has loyally served the Omaha community for 125 years and consistently ranked among the top five zoos in the world. Check out the recently-added Scott African Grasslands and Asian Highlands exhibits or classics like the Lied Jungle and Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium.
Worth the Wait: 7+ Miles
Fontenelle Forest (9.6 Miles)
Spanning over 2,100 acres of forest, prairie, and wetlands along the Missouri River you’ll find Fontenelle Forest as one of the most well-preserved bastions of nature in all of Omaha.
Glacier Creek Preserve (12.1 Miles)
All of Omaha is UNO’s campus, and that is especially true for Glacier Creek Preserve, an outdoor nature preserve of rolling hills, prairie land, and tall grass. Whether you want to hang out with a few friends or have a group outing this Glacier Creek is perfect to truly be immersed in unblemished nature.
Werner Park (12.4 Miles)
Head southwest to experience this unique outdoor venue, which is home to the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, and the Union Omaha Owls, a national-champion professional soccer team.
Vala's Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard (16.4 Miles)
When the trees turn to a vibrant hue of red, orange, and yellow and the air is crisp and fresh with the scent of fall you’ll know it’s time to visit Vala’s. Vala’s is the only place you can get hayrack rides, corn mazes, haunted farmhouses, and barnyard animal bands all in one place.
