The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is excited to compete in the Summit League's annual Food Fight challenge, where UNO will go head-to-head with other schools in the league to fight hunger and food insecurity in our communities. The Summit League’s Food Fight has raised nearly 1.2 million pounds of food over the past 15 years.
About the Food Fight
Throughout the month of February, Omaha Athletics will collect canned goods, non-perishable food items, and monetary donations to benefit the Maverick Food Pantry, which helps UNO students, faculty, and staff; as well as community members facing food insecurity.
How You Can Donate
Donations can be made online through Omaha’s fundraising page. Each dollar donated equates to 5 pounds of food.
Let’s show our Maverick spirit and come together to support our fellow Mavericks and our community. Every donation counts—no matter how big or small! Help us secure the top spot in this year's challenge and make a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger.
