People around the world are trying to navigate a new normal of remote working, living and learning due to the outbreak of COVID-19. To help the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) student body thrive in challenging times, UNO Vice Chancellor for Student Success Dan Shipp and UNO Dean of Students Cathy Pettid launched “Staying Well at UNO,” a weekly interview series focused on wellness.
Each week, the duo will be joined by a guest to highlight how members of the UNO community are not only coping with changes, but finding ways to make a positive impact on others in a remote environment, and look after their own wellbeing in the process.
“Wellness means so many different things. We’re talking about our physical wellbeing, but also our emotional wellbeing, our spiritual wellbeing, our intellectual wellbeing,” Pettid says in the first installment of the series. It’s going to take all of us checking in with each other and being accountable to one another to take care of ourselves.”
