The UNO Writing Center is a collaborative space dedicated to supporting writers at all stages of their writing journey. Grad Accountability Café
Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30 P.M. – Criss Library First Floor

Are you a graduate student working on a long project? Need some help meeting your goals? The UNO Writing Center is hosting an “Accountability Café” on the first floor of the Criss Library, near the lower entrance. Sign in with your writing goal for a 1-to-2-hour timespan to write in a quiet space. After you’ve completed your goal, sign out with our writing consultant. Visit the nearby Starbucks if interested; drinks and snacks available for purchase.
Workshop Series: Navigating the Long Project
Join UNO Writing Center graduate consultant, Iona Newman, for a workshop series about how to manage your time for long projects such as theses, dissertations, or creative works. REGISTER HERE for the following workshops:
Setting Up Your Project: January 28, 5-6 P.M. via Zoom. This workshop focuses on identifying what you need to get started with a long project, as well as different options for making a writing schedule.
Tools for Accountability: February 10, 5-6 P.M. via Zoom. This workshop focuses on digital and physical tools that can aid in decreasing distractions and increasing accountability while working on a long project.
