The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) continues to embrace areas of both growth and opportunity at the graduate level. New enrollment data announced a total of 3032 graduate students, with 722 of them newly admitted for the Fall 2022 semester. Although UNO saw a decrease in overall graduate student enrollment (-3.2%) and underrepresented graduate students (-2.2%) from Fall 2021, UNO increased the number of international graduate students (+17.2%) as well as non-resident graduate students (+12.9%) year-on-year.
“The 2021-2022 academic year was a challenging yet significant year for our Maverick community,” said Juan Casas, interim dean of graduate studies. “We continued to show immense resiliency in a demanding environment and made dramatic gains in the process of returning to a dynamic life more similar to the pre-pandemic years.”
