Biography
Aaron Keanini brings experience in contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and legal research from his work as a Law Clerk and Student Attorney. His background includes drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on business formations, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Coming from a family with deep roots in academia, he is passionate about supporting research through his role at UNO.
Aaron is responsible for the negotiation, review, and administration of contracts, grants, and subawards, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and federal regulations such as FAR and DFARS. His role performs risk assessments, analyzes and interprets award terms, and manages contract and subaward modifications. Aaron collaborates with faculty, departments, and sponsors to facilitate agreements and works closely with senior staff as needed to ensure compliance with complex regulatory and institutional requirements.
