A jump link makes it easier for users to "jump" to a certain section on a page with a lot of information. A jump link requires creating internal links and anchor points.
Creating the List
At the top of the page, create a list of topics that can be clicked on to take the user to that specific section on the same page. Ensure the linked text is informative so the user knows exactly where on the page they will be "jumping to."

- Scroll to the section of the page that corresponds to the first list item: "Program Requirements"

Program Requirements (subheading text)
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.
- Put your cursor in front of the subheading text, or at the end of the subheading text, and click the anchor icon in the toolbar:
- In the dialogue box, type in a word that corresponds with the subheading:
- Copy the word you entered
- Click OK
An anchor icon will appear:
Go back to your list and highlight the list item you created the anchor for:
- Click on the link icon:
A dialogue box will appear.
- Paste/type the anchor ID in the Anchor field:
- Click OK
The item is now linked to that section of the page:
- Repeat these steps for each list item.
