More Information About Files
There is a 2MB size limit for all files.
Images
Photos taken by the university's multimedia team are available to lead campus communicators (or by request) through the PhotoShelter website. The following should be considered when using photos available through the PhotoShelter website.
-
Photos found on the PhotoShelter site are considered approved for campus use. Individuals or groups appearing in photos on the PhotoShelter website have signed release forms as required.
-
Lead communicators from each campus unit may request access to the PhotoShelter site by emailing unophotos@unomaha.edu.
Videos
- It is preferable to store videos on YouTube and link to the video from your page.
- You can embed a video on the page, but if it is a large file, it will slow down the loading time for the video/page.
Word or Excel Files and PDFs
- Documents larger than 2MB can be stored in OneDrive and linked on your page. Make sure the link is public and does not have an expiration date.
- Use Fast Web View to ensure faster loading time for large documents
- Ideally, any documents that need to be used on unomaha.edu should be in PDF as this is the most accessible format.
- Files should be removed if the information is outdated or more than one (1) year old.
