About Cornelius Levering
Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Cornelius earned his Bachelor of Science in communication and minor in Native American studies from the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO).
Cornelius is an enrolled citizen of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. As a Native American and African American individual from a limited-income household and a first-generation student, he experienced firsthand the obstacles that many students face navigating their way through college.
As the SLII Outreach Coordinator, Cornelius works with all students, but closely with the Native American Student population, and has the honor of leading UNO’s Wambli Sapa Powwow.
In his spare time, he can be found enjoying a cold treat from Coneflower Creamery and supporting the local arts.
