Connie received her master's degree in English at UNO, and finished everything except her dissertation at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. She was a first generation student in college. She loves to read, her favorite book is "All the Strange Hours: Excavations of a Life" by Nebraska author Loren Eiseley. Connie has been married 35 years, and has a 10 year old springer spaniel.

When asked about TRIO Project Achieve, Connie said: "Working with these amazing, amazing students is a huge blessing!" Connie loves the "we're all in this together" attitude that connects staff and students at TRIO Project Achieve. Connie would love students to know that they are always welcome, that they are an important part of her life, and that it is a privilege to know them.
