Bio
Daniel is from Stromsburg, NE, and is studying computer science and mathematics. His non-profit experience includes partnering with Omaha By Design. As a community action project, his team was able to ideate ways for Omaha By Design to connect with members of the Omaha community. They hope to develop a solution so that everyone who lives and works in Omaha can raise their concerns and share ideas on how to make Omaha a more community-friendly city. His leadership experience includes serving as the chair of the Campus Improvement Committee, where he helped guide fellow senators by drafting legislation to better UNO's campus. His internship experience includes working as a software engineer at Northrop Grumman in Aurora, CO, where he uses modern web development techniques to move local repositories into distributed cloud-based computing. Additionally, he serves as a scrum master to help guide his team and communicate with other groups to guarantee adequate information transfer. His research experience includes working in the Computer Science Lab at UNO, to implement predictive technologies inside of software that automatically rewrites ASP code and ensures positive automatic code revision. His career interests include software engineering and systems engineering, with a focus on space exploration technologies.
