Membership in SAC
- SAC will be composed of up to 40 members, representing UNO’s diverse managerial/professional and office/service staff (Article III, Section 3.01).
- SAC will strive to maintain representative distribution of council members, approximating the ratios of managerial/professional and office/service employees and their organizational units.
- SAC will work to maintain a council reflective of the diverse multi-cultural UNO community. To facilitate communication and streamline decision-making, an appointed representative of the chancellor serves as a non-voting, ex-officio member of SAC.
Elections
The Staff Advisory Council Elections are held each year in the spring. Announcements for SAC nominations will be made on this site and through Maverick Daily. At that time, the Staff Advisory Council will be looking for volunteers to serve in vacant areas where the three year term limit has expired. The elected position is for a three year commitment, with the expectation of attending monthly meetings and serving on various subcommittees. SAC is a working council that meets at least once a month, usually the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 A.M.
