About Nick
Nick Oegema was named the Director of UNO’s Office of Accessibility Services (ASC) in 2024. Nick has been in higher education for over 10 years, half of them at UNO. Prior to his role as Director, he served as the Associate Director of ASC.
Nick leads ASC's efforts to collaborate with students, administrators, faculty, and staff to ensure access to reasonable and appropriate student disability accommodations. He is focused on creating a fully accessible, inclusive experience for student learning, campus engagement, and residence life. In addition to leading the ASC, Nick also serves on the UNO Care Team and is active in the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), which is the premier national professional organization for disability resource professionals.
