The Residence Life Professional Staff are a critical part of the department's efforts in-residence education, co-curricular learning through educational and social programming, and the overall student experience.
Full-Time Professional Staff Members
Each member of the Housing & Residence Life team is responsible for managing the daily operations of an apartment-style residence hall. Twelve-month, live-in positions within residence life include two residence life coordinators.
Key Responsibilities
- Student staff selection, training, and supervision
- Student conduct adjudication
- Occupancy management
- Policy enforcement
- Student leadership development
- Plan and implement residential educational initiatives
- Assist with student referrals, roommate mediations, and serve as a resource for residents and student staff
- Advise the Residence Hall Council
- Adjudicate and manage student conduct processes
- Serve in the on-call duty rotation
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration, Counseling, Education, or a related field
- Experience with programming and community building in a college or university setting
- Prior experience in residence life is preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary or $35,000 per year (pre-tax, paid monthly)
