UNO Dance Marathon
Mission Statement
Supporting kids in Omaha's next generation through awareness and fundraising for the hospital, while developing leadership skills through memorable service.
Everything we do is For The Kids
Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals have raised more than $5 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. CMN Hospitals offer treatment for children who are battling chronic illnesses, including cancer, pediatric AIDS, muscular dystrophy, heart disease, leukemia and traumatic injuries caused by accidents or other traumas.
About UNODM
UNO Dance Marathon was established in fall 2015 through the Office of Student Involvement. Since that semester, the organization has worked to bring awareness to the Omaha Children's Hospital & Medical Center and the great work they do for the kids in our communities. The organization hosts events, initiatives and campiagns throughout the year to raise funds on behalf of our Miracle Kids. The year is capped off with OMAthon, the 12-hour dance marathon event in the Milo Bail Student Center.
Since the first OMAthon in 2016, the Maverick community has raised more than $150,000 for our kids.
