Annual Colloquium on Language Teaching
The Annual Colloquium on Language Teaching is held yearly and organized by the Department of World Languages and Literature and the Master of Arts in Language Teaching Program (MALT). This conference seeks to create a community of local area language teachers and learners, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and encourage research in the field of language education.
The Colloquium is sponsored by The Department of World Languages and Literature, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the Writing Center.
Note: The department of World Languages and Literature is hosting the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium in October 2024. Because of this, we are canceling the Annual Colloquium on Language Teaching this school year. We will resume the colloquium in 2026.
The Master of Arts in Language Teaching program is an interdisciplinary program that allows students to take courses in a wide range subjects from literature, culture and linguistics in the target language to second language acquisition theory and teaching methodology. See additional events organized by MALT.
European Studies Conference
The Annual European Studies Conference, sponsored by UNO, brings together individuals from multiple disciplines, but united in their interest in the area between the Atlantic and the Urals. Interdisciplinary panels, workshops, plenaries, and performances bring perspectives and insights that have earned the conference a reputation for high academic quality.
