Daniel L. "Dan" Dienstbier is Executive Vice President Enron Corp. and President of Gas Pipeline Group (GPG). He also serves on the corporation's board of directors.
In his present capacity, Mr. Dienstbier is responsible for the operating units that comprise Enron's Gas Pipeline Group. Those units include Houston Pipe Line, Transwestern Pipeline, Florida Gas Transmission, Northern Natural Gas, Enron Gas Services, Enron Gas Transportation, and Enron's interest in several Interstate and Intrastate joint venture pipelines.
Mr. Dienstbier joined the corporation in 1965 as a personnel administrator for Enron's Peoples Natural Gas Division. From 1965 to 1972, he held various administrative and operations positions in the retail and wholesale gas divisions, both in Minnesota and in Omaha, the corporation's headquarters at that time.
Dan holds a bachelor's degree in industrial relations from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master of business administration degree from Creighton University.
He serves on the board of directors for the American Gas Association and the Gas Research Institute and is active in the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He also serves on the boards for the Enron Foundation, Enron Art Foundation, the Houston Symphony and the Salvation Army.
