Bob Goedken received his B.A. in management from Simpson College and his Executive MBA from the UNO College of Business Administration. His sales, marketing, and managerial experience was gained throughout the U.S. and in Japan.
After college, Goedken joined the Xerox Corporation in Des Moines, Iowa, as a marketing representative. He joined the financial software startup Profitstar in 1985 as the company’s first salesperson.
During his service as vice president of sales, Profitstar became the #1 solution for asset/liability management software in community banks and credit unions in the U.S. After he was promoted to SVP of sales and marketing in 1998, Profitstar became a Top 25 Growth Company in the Omaha metropolitan area and the AIM Institute’s State Technology Company of the Year in 2001.
Goedken moved to Carlsbad, California, in 2001 to become president of BluePoint Solutions. After leading the software company through its startup phase, he joined Yamaha Electronics in 2003 as national sales manager. He was then promoted to general manager of the AV division (#1 market share in AV receivers in the U.S). Goedken also leads a corporate initiative creating sales process best practices among all Yamaha music divisions.
In 2010, he completed the three-year Yamaha Global Institute Executive Management Course at Tokyo’s Hitotsubashi University. In the same year, he was awarded the Alumni Award for Excellence in Marketing at UNO.
Bob and his wife, Cathy, live in Carlsbad, California, with their three children.
