John A. Jeter is a certified public accountant and a partner in Arthur Andersen & Co., an international firm of independent public accountants with offices throughout the United States and in many other countries.
Mr. Jeter is in the Dallas office where he has regional responsibility for the regulated and telecommunications practice. Arthur Andersen & Co. has a large regulated industries practice serving over one-third of the major electric and gas utilities in the United States and a substantial portion of the telecommunications industry.
He graduated from the university in 1954. He was associated with the Omaha office of Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1954 until he transferred to Dallas in 1984.
Mr. Jeter's experience in the utility industry includes audits, the design and installation of accounting systems, and rate and financial consultation. He has testified as an expert in accounting and rate matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Interstate Commerce Commission, the National Energy Board of Canada, and the State Utility Commissions of Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and several other states and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
