Charles Marr has made hospitals his career since 1969. He has been with Immanuel as its President and Chief Executive Officer since 1987.Prior to that he was President and Chief Executive Officer of West Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, for seven years. For the 11 years between 1969 and 1980, Mr. Marr was an Assistant and then Vice President of Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
He graduated from Omaha's Central High School, attended Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania, and received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Nebraska.
Mr. Marr has been and is associated with many professional and community service organizations. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives; in 1990 he chaired the Nebraska Hospital Association, he is a member of the Board of Directors of American Healthcare Systems; and he is past Chairman of the Visiting Nurse Association of Omaha. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Community Health Vision, a member of the Omaha Rotary Club, and serves on the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Omaha YMCA, Community Health Plaza, Inc., and Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
A Nebraska native, Chuck and his wife Pat, have two daughters, Lisa and Amy.
