Hosted by the UNO Bands, the 7th Annual UNO Conducting Workshop will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
The UNO Band Conducting Workshop is open to conductors of all levels including teachers, undergraduate/graduate students, community band directors, etc. The ensemble will comprise observers/conducting participants (bring your instrument!), UNO student volunteers, and guest performers from Omaha area ensembles.
Returning this year: conductors will have the opportunity to conduct twice—once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We can accept a maximum of 20 conducting participants and an unlimited number of observers.
A special Undergraduate Conducting Track is being offered at a discounted rate. Students in the Undergraduate Track will receive supplemental private instruction following each conducting experience and a professional development session designed specifically for them.
Please direct questions to Dr. Josh Kearney, UNO Director of Bands, at jskearney@unomaha.edu.
