NCJR Welcomes Justin Nix, Ph.D.

NCJR would like to welcome Dr. Justin Nix as the newest assistant professor in UNO’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Justin Nix earned his Ph.D. in Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2015. His research interests revolve around policing; in particular, police legitimacy, procedural justice, and police use of force. Justin has many recent impactful articles in these areas of research, including this recent article in Justice Quarterly: “Command-Level Police Officers’ Perceptions of the ‘War on Cops’ and De-Policing.”
