School of Criminology and Criminal Justice Scholarship and Award Recipients 2020-2021

UNO’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice annually recognizes community leaders and students who excel in the field and in the classroom.

For the past 12 years, UNO’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice has recognized community leaders and students who have excelled in the field and in the classroom. These individuals were to be recognized at a luncheon scheduled to be held on March 13, 2020. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the luncheon was postponed. These scholarship and award recipients will now be recognized at the 2020-2021 Scholarship and Awards Luncheon scheduled for February 19, 2021. Those slated to be recognized are as follows:

Community Awards

  • Community Service – Police Athletics Community Engagement (PACE)
  • Alumni Achievement – Scott Gray, Deputy Chief, Omaha Police Department
  • Distinguished Service – Diane Good-Collins, Director, Metropolitan Community College 180 Re-Entry Assistance Program
  • Rising Star – Creston Ashburn, Drug Court Coordinator, Sarpy County Probation Court
  • Lifetime Achievement – Weysan Dun, Chief Executive (retired), Federal Bureau of Investigations
  • London Study Abroad Distinguished Service – Jody Konz, Travel and Transport
