WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!
Thanks for all of our generous donors CPACS raised $84,264.51 during the recent Wear Black, Give Back campaign. We are the second college on the leaderboard, behind College of Business Administration.
Our donors met all of our challenges and unlocked an additional $4,750 from the challengers.
- $250 from Dean John Bartle for the Christine and B.J. Reed CPACS Completion Scholarship Challenge.
- $1,000 from Phil He and Ling Ren to support the college and its students.
- $500 from Todd and Gaylene Armstrong to support the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
- $500 from Mary and Scott Tarry to support the Flying Mavericks Flight Team.
- $2,500 from Jason and Kayla Hansen for the Goodrich Scholarship Program.
Congratulations to Heidi Rueda, Grace Abbott School of Social Work, for making the 2,500th gift to Wear Black, Give Back. Her gift went to the Collegiate Recovery Community and will have $2,500 added to its total. Way to go Heidi!
Wear Black, Give Back is a 24-hour day of giving to UNO to raise money for scholarships; colleges and programs; student groups and activities; inclusion and wellness; and much more!
Mavericks across the country can show their spirit, wear their black UNO gear, and post to social media with the hashtag #WearBlackGiveBack.
The College of Public Affairs and Community Service is participating big time! We have many programs and causes that need your support. You can find all the details on the CPACS Wear Black, Give Back page.
Join the fun!. Listen to MavRadio.fm on Oct. 12-13 for coverage and updates.
Psst! Want to know a secret? You don’t have to wait until October. The giving has already started! Go to givingday.unomaha.edu to be one of the first to show your support of CPACS.
Our Challenges
To add to the fun and impact of the day, friends of CPACS have issued several challenges.
