UNO Men's Basketball advances to the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) with a 91-75 win over North Dakota. The second round is set for Friday, March 21 through Saturday, March 22.

The Omaha men's basketball team's first Division I postseason matchup has been set, as the Mavericks will host North Dakota in the 2014 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament on Wednesday, March 19. Tipoff is set for 7:07 p.m. at Ralston Arena, and tickets are on sale now.
Omaha, in its third year as a reclassifying Division I program, enters the first round of the CIT with a record of 16-14 (5-9 Summit League), including a mark of 10-4 at home. The Mavericks are led by a pair of All-Summit Honorable Mention selections in junior guard CJ Carter and senior center John Karhoff. Carter paced the Mavericks with 13.9 points per game this season, while Karhoff came in at 13.1 points per contest.
North Dakota brings a record of 17-16 (12-8 Big Sky) after falling 88-67 to top-seeded Weber State at the Big Sky championship game on Saturday. Troy Huff leads UND, averaging 19.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season, while Aaron Anderson (11.0 ppg) and Jaron Nash (10.8 ppg) also average in double figures.
Omaha and North Dakota last met on Feb. 23, 2013 in the ESPN BracketBusters series at Ralston Arena, with UNO capturing an 83-75 win. UND leads the all-time series over Omaha, 45-33, but the Mavericks have won the last five consecutive meetings.

All faculty, staff, and UNO students are invited to attend the pre-game reception for the Omaha Men's Basketball's appearance in the CIT tournament at 5:30 p.m. March 19 at Ralston Arena.
Students will receive a FREE paper ticket for entry to both the game and the reception. Your ticket to the game will give you entry to the reception. For additional ticket information, please read on below.
