One of the driving ideas behind the field of health humanities is that there is a healing quality to the arts, and idea comes to life on UNO’s campus in the form of the Nebraska Medical Humanities Orchestra & Choir.
UNO Chancellor Joanne Li, Ph.D., CFA, spent time with the group, which is comprised of musicians in healthcare related fields from the Omaha area, and spoke with the group’s director Dr. Matthew Brooks about the intersection of medicine and the arts.
