Biography
Rica McLaren is the Research Finance Manager. She is responsible for the fiscal management of the ORCA financial portfolio and unit business operations. She manages ORCA’s internal financial portfolio in addition to various other fund sources and performs financial allocation and analysis for internally funded projects. This includes management of financial commitments, state, and F&A budgets, providing cash flow analysis, budgetary, salary, and financial reporting. She also provides day-to-day business management for ORCA and its reporting research units. This includes providing best practices for office procedures, management of procurement and human resources, office space oversight, and supervision of administrative team. She is part of the ORCA leadership team and helps to develop, refine, and implement institutional policies and procedures related to ORCA.
