Biography
Sara A. Myers, received her Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011 while using biomechanics to better understand functional impairments in patients with peripheral artery disease.
She joined UNO as faculty in 2011 in the Department of Biomechanics and joined the Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA) in 2016.
Her current research focuses on improving quality of life in older individuals and those with peripheral artery disease. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans' Affairs, and NASA.
In 2022, Dr. Myers was named Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity where she provides leadership of UNO’s growing and diverse research and creative activity mission. She provides oversight and support the Offices of Sponsored Programs, Grants Accounting, Research Compliance, and supporting Governmental Relations.
