Cascade CMS
Cascade is the university's content management system (CMS). Faculty and staff must complete training in Cascade before access will be granted and any edits can be made.
The MarComm Digital Team has transitioned from hosting live training to offering on-demand training through Bridge. All users may access this training at any time. If you do not currently have access to Cascade and want to become a user, you must complete this Bridge training first and score at least 80% on the quiz.
Note: In order to ensure the consistency and integrity of the unomaha.edu site, content approver privileges are restricted to experienced Cascade users. Once a new user has completed Cascade training, they are set as a content contributor for at least three months. If during that time there is no established web lead, the Digital Communications Team will serve as approver. Learn more about Cascade Access.
HubSpot
HubSpot is the official program for the implementation and delivery of several digital tools:
- Email marketing
- Social media management and publishing
- Live chat implementation and management
Social media and list management and importing training, as well as live chat implementation are conducted as needed. Submit a Digital Services Request if you are interested in these tools.

Localist
Localist is the university's new event calendar tool. User training started at the end of May 2022, and full implementation occurred at the end of July 2022.
Submit a Digital Services Request for an overview of Localist and all of its features for event organizers and attendees and to learn about the event submission process.
Marq (formerly Lucidpress)
Design templates are created with Marq, an online templating tool for campus partners developing UNO-branded posters, brochures, digital signs, and other print and digital collateral. Each piece can be exported as a PDF and emailed to authorized printers for final production or as a PNG or JPEG for use on web and digital formats.
College Communicators and other department leads have access to the tool and may grant access to additional units as appropriate. UNO has a limited number of licenses, so please reach out to your communicator or department lead to request access to your unit’s shared account.
For more information regarding Marq, please contact Angie Kennedy at angiekennedy@unomaha.edu.
Media and Public Relations
The Media Relations staff will sit down with you to share best practices, identify key messages, and conduct a practice interview. More rigorous training is available for sensitive topics that pose a reputational risk.
Email unonews@unomaha.edu to request training.
