Final determination of transfer credit acceptance for students is ultimately made by an academic advisor.
Transfer Credit equivalencies, that have not been previously evaluated on our Transfer Articulation Guide page, are evaluated by the academic advisor for the student.
Advisors have access to TES (Transfer Evaluation System) to help the evaluation process.
TES provides course descriptions, along with the ability to send proposed course equivalencies to department chairs.
Once equivalencies are created in TES, they are displayed on our Transfer Articulation Guide and can be used for all future students transferring in with that course.
Advisors email a staff member of the Office of the University Registrar the individual student's equivalency they need updated.
Advisors also can use the Course Replacement Transferology tool to view all of the various institutions that have an equivalent for a specific UNO course that your student may need. These equivalencies are based off what we have in TES and saves the advisors the time of looking up the equivalencies under each specific college’s equivalency list.
