What is Degree Works?
Degree Works is UNO's web-based degree audit system. It is used for monitoring students' academic progress toward degree completion.
Degree Works allows you to see a student's degree program and how coursework is currently being applied. Degree Works compares UNO's degree requirements to coursework completed. As a staff or faculty advisor, you can check degree progress, work with the student to plan future courses and review course history.
Degree Works also allows you to run "what if" scenarios to see how changing a student's current academic program (adding/deleting/changing majors, minors, etc) will affect degree progress.
How do I find Degree Works?
The Degree Works login is located inside MavLINK on the student, staff and faculty tabs. Staff and Faculty tabs contains a button titled "Go To Degree Works". The Student tab has a link on the left side bar menu titled "Degree Works".
How do I receive access to Degree Works?
Staff members that request the advising role in PeopleSoft, receive access to Degree Works automatically once PeopleSoft access is granted.
If advisors need a higher access to make exceptions for students, please email Cara Ortega at cortega@unomaha.edu to request the appropriate access.
