Denise Fandel is an alumnus and former Head Athletic Trainer at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). Denise’s ground-breaking achievements as a clinician, volunteer, and later CEO of the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) have paved the way for many professionals to become successful. She has always been a champion for quality continuing professional development for athletic trainers. To honor her contributions to the UNO Athletic Training Program and the profession of athletic training, we have created this opportunity for our program to provide additional professional development opportunities for our students, preceptors, alumni, and the athletic training profession.
