2. Annual Food Drive for Together Inc. Food Bank ~ November 1-18, 2024.
Our annual food drive has begun. We will be accepting non-perishable food items, toiletries and donation for the food bank. This is our annual service-learning project to help needed families in the Omaha and surrounding area. The classroom with the most donations will win a classroom pizza or ice cream party. Please bring in your donations and place them in the labeled boxes in the multi-purpose room for each classroom. Monetary donations will also be accepted, please make sure you indicated which classroom, so we know where to put the donation to count for the contest. One dollar equals 4 items. Thank you for your support. The food bank is greatly appreciated.
3. Mark your calendars now for the Child Care Center’s Winter Program.
The program will be on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Milo Bail Student Center’s Ballroom at 10:00 A.M. The children who participate in dance lessons with Stretch-N-Grow will also do a dance performance. Please have your child at the Milo Bail Student Center by 9:45 A.M. There will also be a special visitor, so bring your cameras. Hope to see you all there!
4. The children do play outside and will go for walks on campus both in the mornings and afternoons. The weather is starting to get cooler. Please make sure your child has a jacket, sweatshirt or coat for outside play. In the morning, the temperatures have been in the 50’s. We do not have enough jacket/coats for every child. You can one here on your child’s hook. Please make sure to label it. If you know that you will be picking up early, please let Dawn, Monica or your child’s Lead Teacher know, so that your child can stay back if you pick up before 4 P.M.
5. Please let us know if your child(ren) will not be in attendance for the day. You can call the child care center at 402-554-3398 or email Dawn (dhove@unomaha.edu) or Monica (mdey@unomaha.edu) to let us know. This helps us for preparing meals and staffing for the day. Reminder that if your child has been diagnosed with an illness to please let us know. Depending on the type of illness, we may need to inform families of the illness. Thank you for your cooperation.
